cooking classes
Let’s continue to celebrate gathering with friends around the table this
holiday season with a group of recipes perfect for the cold weather to come, pre-game tailgating and Sunday night suppers at home this holiday
season! Inspired by all I tasted at the recent Dilworth/Southend Chili Cookoff, I thought it would be fun to have a post Thanksgiving Chili class
Among my list of Holiday Cooking classes.
What’s more, I’ll share tips and tricks on how to convert these crowd pleasing recipes into several to hearty appetizers for casual holiday fare as
well! In this class, we’ll make and enjoyTexas chili with chunks of beef,
White bean, cilantro and chicken chili, Hearty vegetarian chili served
over baked potatoes and a tomato based, spicy ground beef and pork
chili.
Variations on the theme include a great chili beef dip, and chili stuffed
portabellos baked with a bechamel crust. Wine parings too – you’re gonna love it!
Cost is $85 per person. Email Heidi to make your advance
reservations.

Heidi’s Cooking Classes are Hands On, A Celebration of Local Food & Drink and Tons of Fun

My cooking classes are all hands-on events and I use as much locally grown and sourced product as is available, shopping at local farmers markets for all of our ingredients. When I can’t find local product, I opt for organic product, so we will all know whats in the food we are eating.

Call your friends, plan a day or evening out at any one of these fall or holiday cooking classes and then contact me to  make reservations.

If you and your friends like to cook, why not invite guests to enjoy a tailor-made cooking class. I’d love to plan a private cooking class for your group in your own kitchen or in mine – complete with printed recipes and an assistant to help with clean-up, so you can enjoy the party, too. Private classes can be done in a demonstration style or a hands-on format in which your friends can learn to chop, simmer and sauté, doing all of the cooking themselves. After the cooking is done, sit back and relax, enjoying the fruits of your labors with a wine paired to match each course.

I’d love to help you plan your own private cooking class – simply email me at HLNC@carolina.rr.com for details and we’ll get a date on the calendar!
