Class size is limited. Your advance reservations via email gets you on the class list; advance payment confirms your space in class.
Once you make your reservations, your advance payment will confirm you seat. Wine parings in tasting sized pours accompany every dish. Recipes packets and gift bags with fun swag and coupons are your take-home for each class participant. Cooking Classes generally cost $85 per person.

Sunday, July 14, 2-5 pm. Cooking with Fresh Herbs
This hands-on cooking class is a seasonal favorite.
We’ll talk about planting, growing and preserving as well as cooking. The menu includes: my master pesto recipe with several delicious variations and a basic herb vinegar recipe you can easily make your own. A peach and tomato salad, follows with lamb chops crusted with a mint and thyme pesto. Next, a rosemary and garlic baked chicken with tempura bay leaves and a pasta with fresh herbed marinated feta. Saturday, July 20, 2-5 pm. Crepe Cookery
Come to class and learn how to flip your own!
Crepes make for the perfect summer dish and they are easy to prep ahead. We’ll make them with local eggs and milk – you’ll be amazed at how easy it really is.
Our menu: Once we perfect the master crepe recipe, we’ll use these golden thin pancakes to create a spectacular local mushroom and cream sauce crepe; then we’ll take it to Italy with my recipe for homemade manicotti; next a fabulous Mexican inspired chicken enchilada crepe and we’ll finish with my favorite flame-your-own crepes Suzette! On the Farm Cooking Classes in June & August 2019
Each On The Farm class includes a walking Farm Tour and then we settle into the farm kitchen to cook with (and eat!) whatever is in season. You really just have to experience these classes for yourself. There is something quite special about being on all these local farms…
On the Farm Cooking Class at Tega Hills Farm Saturday June 22, 2-5 pm
Make plans now to join my and my friends Mark and Mindy Robinson, farmers, owners and hosts for our On the Farm Cooking Class at Tega Hills Farm SATURDAY, June 22, 2019. The theme will be vegetarian and the cooking Hands-on.
Our menu will feature local tomatoes just like the ones stacked in my first tomato sandwich of the season pictured here. We’ll also be cooking with Tega Hills Farm squash blossoms, microgreens, cucumbers and hydroponic lettuces, green tomatoes and more! On the Farm Cooking Class at Middle Ground Farm Sunday August 4, 1-5 pm
Excited to be teaching at a new farm location in August. Come and join me at Middle Ground Farm in Monroe, NC. Our hosts are my friends, farmers Meg and Dan Kypena.
Cooking class, aside, consider his gorgeous farm as a location for your next soiree, they are all about agrotoursim here and would love to talk to you about planning a wedding, engagement party or even a fun, on the farm baby shower!
Meantime, this class will start with a lay of the land as we walk a farm tour from the pond to the orchard. Then we’ll come back to cook on the screened porch with a class centered on a fruit forward theme as Middle Ground’s orchard will be ready to harvest. Think recipes with fresh figs, elderberries, peaches, plums and more. Plus we’ll incorporate Middle Ground Farm‘s pork, eggs and hydroponic lettuces into many of the recipes. Cost $85 per person.
