Crave CLT is a week-long fun festival of food-centric events that kick off the first week of May 2022. I love that so many in Charlotte’s culinary community are involved in this annual event, bringing you a taste of what they each do so well.
Some of these chefs you’ve heard of and will know well. Some of them, you may not know by name; but it’s time to start getting acquainted. Allow me to make introductions and share all the delicious details.

Featuring Charlotte NC chefs, restaurants and mixologists with restaurants, food trucks and catering businesses from one end of the Queen City to the other, it’s a delicious dose of the Springtime fun and flavor we all love.
Enjoy over a dozen different culinary experiences, all happening over 4 days in the first week in May, Crave CLT offers something for everyone.
Crave Gives Back to the Charlotte Community
With all the chefs and culinarians who are a part of Crave CLT are offering to their guests, it is also good to know that this is a festival that gives back to the community. A portion of the proceeds from the 2022 Crave events will go to benefit EnvisionCharlotte. EvisionCharlotte are the same people who brought you Charlotte’s very cool Innovation Barn, as well as SmartC Recycling.
Just look at the options. You’re going to eat this up…
Talk about something for everyone. Choose from a Bougie BBQ & Bourbon themed evening at The Golden Owl at the Marriott at University Place to A Southern Supper at Fine & Fettle in the Canopy Hotel at Southpark. Or, learn about pairing flavors at an evening of Italian food and wine at Angeline’s in the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel , and then enjoy a beer dinner collab between Roots Cafe and Divine Barrel Brewing. For more tastes of all the season holds, get tickets to the Springtime small plate and wine tasting at The Wine Loft on South Blvd., and then take a deep dive into Southern cuisine with Chef Andarrio at Cuzzo’s Cuisine.
But wait, there’s more. Check out the big bold flavors at the five course Beef and Bourbon experience from “Chef T”, Chef Torrece Gregoire of the Food Network’s “Big Restaurant Bet” and founder of Culinary Concepts; and then go to the small plate alfresco rooftop dining tasting under the stars at Nuvole Rooftop Twenty Two in Uptown Charlotte.
No Doubt, this Charlotte food festival is all you’ve been craving and more.
Soak it all in at the Crave Clt Grand Culinary Celebration
The Crave Clt festival week culminates in an outdoor celebration on Saturday May 7 in Charlotte’s charming Romare Bearden Park. I’ll be there, doing fun chef interviews on Facebook and Instagram live. You should be there too.
You may purchase VIP tickets for this event, beat the crowd and get in an hour early at noon; or opt for the General Admission tickets and start the party at 1 pm.

Joining them will be Chef Craig, Roots Cafe, Chef Chris, The Goodyear House, Chef Amanda Paper Plane Deli and Market, and Chef James, Grinning Mule. Also in the mix Chef Hau, Bahn mi Brothers, Chef Eric, Nuvole Rooftop Twenty Two, Chef Andres, Golden Owl Tavern Chef Mariana, Sweet Mary Gourmet, Chef Sam, Wentworth & Fenn, and Chef Tiore at Chef Tiore. Also at the May 7th Crave CLT Food & Wine Fest, will be Chef T, Culinary Concepts, Chef Amari, of Chunks Chicken, Chef Julia, Plant Joy, and Chef Kevin at Angeline’s Charlotte. Then look for Chef Geoff, Common Market, Chef Kyle, The Wine Loft, Chef William, Haymaker, and Chef Brooke, Night Swim Coffee. And, as if that wasn’t enough; there are two after parties on Sunday May 8. Enjoy the afternoon with a Rose & Mimosa Soiree at The Pinhouse, a fun indoor/outdoor spot in Plaza-Midwood with self-pour taps and duckpin bowling.
